This is the part two of the series about Advanced Newtonian Telescope Collimation. Part 1 is available here.
When you are done centering secondary mirror in Part 1, it's time to put primary mirror back in. Image below shows that it is perfectly centered.
I have used Collimation Circles application and Primary Clip shape, to mark clips on the primary mirror. See those Primary Clip 1,2,3 labels.
I have installed primary mirror 3D printed mask, thats why instead of clips you only see two bolts for each clip.
If you look carefully, you will see that they are at dead center! What that means is that the secondary mirror is aiming at exact center of primary mirror. After making slight adjustnents of secondary mirror, you should see something like image below.
Primary mirror center spot is marked with red triangle sticker. I have used Collimation Circles to mark that triangle with red Circle shape. Green circle is Collimation Circle marking center.
At this stage we have senondary mirror aimed exactly to center of primarry mirror. All that is left to do is align optical ray back to center of eyepiece.
Be sure to read Part 3 of the series of Advanced Newtonian Telescope Collimation available here to see how to do that.
If you enyojed my advanced method of collimating Newonian Telescope, please give 5 stars below.
Clear Skies!
